Australian Parent Visa
Australia offers several visa options for parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens. The Parent Visa (Subclass 103) and Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 143) are permanent visas, with the latter offering faster processing for a higher fee. Temporary options include the Contributory Parent (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 173), which leads to permanent residency.
For older parents, the Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 804) and Contributory Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 864) provide permanent residency, while the Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 884) allows for a temporary stay leading to a permanent visa.
The Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa (Subclass 870) offers parents the option to stay in Australia for up to five years without meeting the balance-of-family test. Most of these visas require meeting the balance-of-family test.
